Hi Everyone!

It is that time of the year again!! Only 7 weeks till Christmas

Our annual Holiday party will be Dec. 5th at Bowl America on Edsill Rd in Alexandria. We've had bowling parties before and they are always a great time!! We hope everyone can join us for a great night with our dance family!!!

More details and sign up sheets will be handed out at our meeting next week.

2nd Annual Family Fun Day

Hi Everyone!

Just want to remind you all that this Sunday, October 25th from 1:00 - 5:00 is our 2nd Annual Family Fun Day!! We will be returning to the same park as last year, Locust Shade Park in Prince William County. We will be to the rear of the park in the Lilac Pavilion. I hope to see everyone out there on the field taking part in all the fun activities planned for the day. Remember the DCPA is providing the hot dogs and hamburgers all you need to do is bring a dish to share. Many of you have already signed up. I will be sending out reminders this week. If you have not signed up, please just respond to this note with what you would like to bring This is a wonderfull event for the whole family!! Dress in layers!! As of now the weather for Sunday is 66 and sunny

I am collecting items for a Dance Program that I started in a Low Income Charter School in DC. There are several girls that need black jazz shoes, pink ballet shoes, leotards and jazz pants. Sizes needed for shoes range from 3.5 to 11 and clothes Child Large to Adult XL. I am also collecting old dance magazines. These girls would be thrilled to have your daughter's old shoes and clothes!

Your donation would be greatly appreciated! Plus its an opportunity to clean out your daughters dance bag! Please bring it to the studio and Chris will put it in the office for me. Thank you so much for being a blessing to someone not as fortunate!

Hi everyone! I just checked the weather, and though it may be rainy when we begin tomorrow, it's supposed to clear mid-morning. Might I suggest rain coats & umbrellas, towels and a possible change of clothing?

I went by the gas station this morning. A local lacrosse team was hosting a car wash and they were quite busy. Hope everyone's ready to get wet and have fun! See you tomorrow.

NYC Trip

If you have any questions at all, please let me know. There are flyers in the office with an overview of the trip. Please note - the group will be seeing BYE BYE BIRDIE (starring John Stamos). If you would prefer to see a different show, you are welcome to do this. If this is your choice, YOU must make the arrangements. I will need a commitment soon. Ticket order forms will be distributed by the 23rd of September, with payment due by the 3rd of October.

I will be providing a list of opportunities for drop-in classes at Broadway Dance Center later in November.

Megan is in need of a ride to class on Wednesday (7/29/09). We can pick her up at the studio when class is over, it's the getting there that's the issue. Her first class is at 4:30. Both Ray and I are working. Her grandmother could meet you somewhere close to Rt. 1 that is convenient. Please let me know if you can help.

Beauty & the Beast/Joseph

If anyone's looking for something to do this summer, Alex is doing summer stock again in Winchester.

They're finishing up the last 4 shows this weekend of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Alex plays Levi's wife/pom pom girl (thanks Ms. Tiffany!)/French Brawl Dancer (she gets thrown and dragged across the stage). Ms. Jenn would be so proud of her doing several cartwheels!

Beauty & the Beast runs July 22-August 2 and Alex plays Babette, the French Maid/Feather Duster. She said it's going to be a wonderful show. Most of the leads have been brought in from NYC.

It's a nice 1 hr 15 min drive to Winchester from FX -- 66E, 17N, 50E
